The project began with the demolition of the original structure, paving the way for a new home defined by muted tones, refined materials, and a serene atmosphere that the clients wanted to enjoy for years to come.

The International Design & Architecture Awards 2026
A key feature of the design is the consistent use of Calacatta Viola marble, whose deep red veining brings a sense of luxury and continuity throughout. The formal living room was colour washed in Railings by Farrow & Ball, its depth accentuated with bespoke furniture and custom artwork. A subtle Parisian influence emerges in the limewashed walls and lighting choices, adding layers of character without overpowering the scheme.
The spatial layout was also carefully considered. The clients requested a grand hallway that felt open and airy rather than dominated by a staircase. Amy Stoddart Studio responded by tucking the staircase discreetly to the side, creating a flowing arrival sequence that draws the eye toward the dining room and garden beyond, with views over the golf course.
The kitchen was designed as the heart of the home, blending framed traditional cabinetry with a sleek, handleless island. A hidden pantry ensures both practicality and elegance during entertaining. In the adjoining living space, a bespoke U-shaped sofa upholstered to echo the marble’s tones provides a playful yet luxurious focal point.
Details such as a handcrafted Calacatta Viola basin in the powder room and a coffered ceiling in the formal lounge showcase the studio’s attention to materiality and architectural elegance. The result is a home where every space feels thoughtful, characterful, and perfectly attuned to modern family life.
