Andrea Michaelson Design Corp. transformed this kitchen through a complete remodel while respecting the layout that the client had come to appreciate over time. Having previously completed the rest of the home four years earlier, the studio was later commissioned to redesign the kitchen after the client decided it was time for a full renovation. Rather than altering the established floor plan, the design focused on elevating the space through carefully considered material selections and refined architectural interventions that preserved the existing flow.

The original island and cooktop were retained in line with the client’s wishes, while a flush L’Atelier Paris cooktop was selected so the burners sat level with the work surface, creating a cleaner appearance. Bright metal cabinetry is paired with copper flush pulls, while the upper cabinetry within the butler’s pantry features a bronze finish with bronze mesh inserted into the glass to provide subtle visual screening. Together, these carefully considered details create a refined kitchen that reflects the client’s vision while celebrating craftsmanship and materiality.
