Bergman Design House has transformed Axios into a serene Mediterranean sanctuary, creating a floating residence that combines light, texture and understated luxury while respecting the yacht’s original character. The project builds on Axios’s strong existing identity, introducing a new sense of warmth and calm intended to make life on board feel more like a private home than a conventional superyacht interior.

Inspired by the Greek islands, the design draws on the distinctive quality of Mediterranean light, whitewashed walls and the warmth of sun on stone. Bergman Design House rethought the yacht’s spatial flow, using proportion, circulation and sightlines to make the interior feel larger and more open than its physical footprint. Rooms transition naturally into one another, while carefully controlled materials create a cohesive atmosphere throughout.

Soft linens, woven textures, brushed metals and quiet neutral tones form the foundation of the interiors. The five staterooms have each been treated as individual retreats, accommodating up to 12 guests while maintaining the residential character of the overall design. Furniture, art and finishes were carefully selected to ensure every element contributes to a consistent visual language.

The result is deliberately restrained. Rather than relying on gloss, contrast or statement pieces, Bergman Design House allows natural light, texture and space to create an atmosphere that feels restorative rather than simply impressive. Walls appear to dissolve, sightlines extend through the yacht and the relationship between spaces becomes increasingly fluid.

Despite the transformation, Axios retains the qualities that underpin her capabilities, including a steel hull and 6,000-nautical-mile range. The redesign therefore represents an evolution rather than an erasure of her original identity.

For Bergman Design House, the success of the project lies in creating a yacht that feels genuinely personal. Its Mediterranean influence extends beyond aesthetics, shaping the way light, materials and movement interact throughout the interior, resulting in a calm and cohesive environment designed to encourage guests to slow down and enjoy life at sea.
