Bergman Design House has completed The Artist Residence, an interior design project conceived as a layered, art led home that is fresh, playful and chic, where craftsmanship and curated pieces shape a space designed for living rather than display. Envisioned as a living gallery, the residence allows art and architecture to exist in constant dialogue, creating an environment that unfolds gradually and rewards everyday experience.

The International Design & Architecture Awards 2026
Bergman Design House approached the project with a clear intention to design spaces that are felt rather than staged. Layering is central to the concept, bringing together textures, eras, cultures and artistic voices into a cohesive yet expressive narrative. Throughout the home, art becomes structure and furniture becomes sculpture, with craftsmanship forming the emotional backbone of the interior.
Signature moments anchor this narrative. A sculptural 3D wall artwork by Studio Beyond creates an immediate sense of depth and movement, while a bespoke hand set curved TV wall crafted in custom joinery introduces softness and architectural flow. Hermès lighting and furniture pieces add refined elegance, balanced by the bold presence of the Marcin Rusak bar, which acts as both artwork and the social heart of the home.
Additional curated works by Lindsay Edelman, Gallery 25, Gallery 21 NYC and Jerome Bugara enrich the layers of visual storytelling, complemented by the Pearl Dining Table by Monologue London, a custom pendant by Home by Helena and bespoke rugs by Oliver Treutlein. Each piece is carefully placed to contribute to a wider composition rather than stand alone.
Bergman Design House ensured that innovative solutions such as sculptural walls, curved bespoke joinery and immersive materiality redefine the domestic experience. The result is a home that balances intimacy with spectacle, where every room feels personal yet extraordinary, and where everyday living becomes a sensory journey shaped by art, craftsmanship and thoughtful design.
