Design Haus Medy translated the quiet precision of Japanese design into a refined hospitality experience that brings together bonsai, specialty coffee and precision sushi within a calm, design led environment. The project transforms an industrial warehouse in Al Quoz into a serene destination where hospitality, craftsmanship and atmosphere exist in balance, while preserving the authenticity and character of the existing industrial shell. The design introduces warmth and refinement through a carefully considered palette of dark timber, honed stone, living greenery and curated lighting, creating an environment that feels both contemporary and timeless.

The concept is centred on delivering a first of its kind tri concept lifestyle destination that offers an immersive and multi sensory guest journey. Every aspect of the spatial experience has been developed to reinforce the identity of BO.CA.SU (盆.珈.鮨), where living bonsai serves as both the visual focal point and an integrated retail offering. This connection between hospitality and retail creates a distinctive destination that celebrates Japanese craftsmanship through carefully composed spaces and thoughtful material selection.

Design Haus Medy carefully balanced three individual experiences within a single cohesive venue, ensuring that bonsai, specialty coffee and precision sushi complement one another while maintaining a seamless guest journey. Hospitality, retail and culinary theatre are integrated to create a unified environment that supports both operational efficiency and an engaging visitor experience. Back of house circulation has been discreetly incorporated into the layout to ensure smooth daily operations while maintaining full compliance with Dubai Municipality food and beverage requirements.

The completed environment functions as an all day destination, welcoming guests from morning coffee through to evening dining. Every design decision contributes to a refined atmosphere that appeals to design conscious residents, creatives, specialty coffee enthusiasts, omakase diners, bonsai collectors and experience driven visitors seeking an authentic and memorable Japanese hospitality experience.
