The reconfiguration of the plan was central to the project. Brooke Aitken Design carefully unravelled the existing spatial limitations to create a more intuitive sequence of rooms, allowing the home to breathe and move with greater ease. Circulation is fluid and legible, with spaces unfolding naturally from one another. This clarity supports everyday family life while also offering moments of retreat, balancing openness with intimacy. On the ground floor, the reorganisation unlocks long diagonal views to the bay, aligning outlooks that were previously fragmented into a continuous visual connection that reinforces calm and place.
Bespoke joinery forms the architectural backbone of the interior. Brooke Aitken Design employed joinery not as surface decoration but as a spatial device that shapes thresholds, frames sightlines and quietly organises the home. At the entry, custom cabinetry expands what was once a compressed arrival, concealing functional elements while maintaining visual calm. Throughout the living and kitchen spaces, joinery establishes continuity, resolves storage and reinforces architectural order. Finely detailed sliding screens mediate between spaces, allowing flexibility for gatherings or more intimate daily use.
