The International Design & Architecture Awards 2026
From the outset, Carli Robinson Design centred the layout around the way the family lives, ensuring movement through the space feels intuitive and effortless. Rather than creating a traditional kitchen, the studio conceived a multifunctional environment that seamlessly combines cooking, dining, entertaining and relaxing. A comfortable lounge and television area further reinforce the kitchen as the true heart of the home, encouraging family members to gather throughout the day.
Exceptional materials define the project, with spectacular leathered marble providing remarkable texture and visual depth. Bespoke metallic finishes applied throughout the joinery introduce warmth and individuality, while a custom dining table featuring a leathered stone inlay creates continuity across the interior. An inviting oval banquette, upholstered in carefully selected performance fabrics, offers comfort and durability, making it ideal for busy family life.
Attention to detail is evident throughout. Carli Robinson Design carefully positioned power sockets to maintain clean architectural lines while ensuring convenience, and incorporated generous bespoke storage to keep the space calm and uncluttered. A striking wine display with integrated refrigeration forms a dramatic focal point, complemented by a Quooker tap, two dishwashers, premium ovens and a beautifully designed adjoining utility room that reflects the same commitment to quality.
Art also plays a significant role, with bespoke pieces incorporating fragments of the same materials and bronze metallic finishes used throughout the kitchen, creating a truly immersive experience. Carefully layered architectural and decorative lighting transforms the atmosphere from day to evening, completing a sophisticated interior where craftsmanship, innovation and thoughtful planning combine to create a timeless family space that is as inspiring as it is practical.
