Rather than concealing technical requirements behind decorative finishes, Cinema Luxe has transformed them into fundamental elements of the room’s architectural identity, creating a luxurious environment that is as elegant as it is immersive.

The International Design & Architecture Awards 2026
The brief challenged Cinema Luxe to create a cinema that felt warm, tactile and residential while delivering the high performance expected of a serious private screening space. The design was conceived as a complete cinematic environment, where every surface contributes not only to the atmosphere but also to acoustic performance, discreet technology integration and practical functionality.
At the heart of the project is a carefully composed wall architecture that combines veneered timber, marble, metal and softly illuminated sandblasted glass. Arranged with a strong emphasis on symmetry, proportion and visual rhythm, the layered composition creates a calm and sophisticated setting before the film even begins. Rich materials, subtle lighting and disciplined detailing establish an atmosphere of understated luxury while supporting the room’s technical requirements.
A defining feature of Elysium is the way Cinema Luxe has embedded performance directly into the architecture. Speakers, acoustic treatments, lighting and service elements are integrated seamlessly within the design, allowing the room to retain its clean and highly resolved appearance. The architectural forms themselves have been developed to diffuse and enrich the acoustic environment, demonstrating how technical performance and visual refinement can exist together without compromise.
Lighting follows the same philosophy, with discreet layered illumination incorporated into the structure rather than added as a decorative afterthought. Every transition between materials has been considered with precision, creating depth, softness and visual balance throughout the room.
