The Delhi Farmhouse was conceived as a place of return: a contemporary family home with a powerful sense of belonging, shaped by Indian culture, climate and craft. Its guiding idea was to create a strong centre of gravity for an internationally dispersed family, balancing nature and culture while drawing on Vastu, Yantra geometry and the movement of the sun.
The interiors translate this concept into a sequence of fluid, sculptural spaces rather than a series of conventional rooms. Formal and informal living and dining areas, a double-height entrance hall, study and bedrooms are connected through curved circulation, framed views and carefully controlled transitions between openness and enclosure. Light is treated as a material in its own right. Brick jali screens filter glare and cast shifting pattens across the interiors, while double-insulated brick walls temper Delhi’s extreme summer heat.
