Drawing inspiration from the building’s striking internal courtyard by the late Thierry Despont, CS Design Studio sought to translate the courtyard’s sense of quiet luxury into the private interiors. Rich textures and layered finishes became central to the design narrative, creating spaces that feel deeply personal rather than conventionally styled. The studio introduced Paint & Paper Library’s deep Spruce finish to the kitchen cabinetry, establishing an elegant focal point that anchors the open plan living areas while adding warmth and sophistication.
A major achievement of the project was the transformation of what had previously been a stark and dated interior. Heavy black kitchen units, skirtings and cornicing were replaced with a fresher palette that immediately softened the apartment’s architectural envelope. CS Design Studio further enhanced the sense of refinement through contemporary three stepped applied mouldings, bringing rhythm, depth and classical character to the reception, dining and kitchen spaces.
