Architect: Dean Thomas Design Group together with Rockwood Custom Homes

This stunning zen home was inspired by a vision of indoor and outdoor “flow”; contemporary lines and soft edges invoke both warmth and serenity. Many subtle but high-end details charm you as you make your way through the home—from warm woods to unique lighting fixtures to inspired stonework. Panoramic views of the Rocky Mountains are available from nearly every room with a focus on light, openness and the pure beauty of the natural surroundings.

The project features a Master bedroom with ensuite, two guest rooms, Kitchen with butler’s pantry, Great Room (with wine wall), oversized office/music room, Gym, Wine room, lower-level spa bath with steam shower, lower-level media and entertainment room. The design is intricate, yet classic. The home is timeless, warm and inviting.

The home was designed for indoor/outdoor flow. The central courtyard offers beautiful views of the mountains; surroundings inspire and invigorate. Some of Rockwood Custom Home’s favourite aspects of the project were; the central zen-garden outdoor courtyard is perfect for relaxing and offers beautiful views (and privacy) from the master ensuite, the 40-foot skylight in the kitchen that makes it seem like you are cooking outdoors, the home gym that rivals those seen in commercial spaces and the master bedroom. There were many challenges involved in creating this project, Rockwood Custom Homes had to enlist specialist skills for the stone work, wood work, custom cabinetry and the landscaping of the project.
