The client, being a reputed businessman from the capital gave Casa Paradox a design brief to follow a classical design route while keeping the building contemporary. The result being a contemporary house featuring the latest technology and classical elements, and a total built up area of 25,132 sq. Ft.

The bye-laws required a mandatory stilt level (lower ground floor) for vehicular parking, hence the building had to be elevated. The residual space behind the vehicular parking area was designed to accommodate a home office space and additional services such as a recreational area for service staff, a generator and staff toilets. The main double height entry is flanked by a grand staircase and leads to the upper levels. The upper ground floor has a grand column free living room 60′ long and 40′ across and 16′ high which you enter through a stone archway. This floor also has a dining room with onyx columns as an entrance feature; a kitchen and a guest room with an attached bathroom.

The first-floor level is the primary residential unit for the principal resident and his daughter. This level has the master bedroom and his daughter’s bedroom & lounge area, both with attached bathrooms; a pantry and a prayer room. The second-floor level has the secondary residential unit having a master bedroom, two children’s’ bedrooms all with attached bathrooms & dressers.

The terrace has a meditation space suitable for gatherings of up to 40 people belonging to the client’s religious sect. The basement is the main entertaining area having a bar-lounge area, a dancefloor, a powder room, a gym, a spa, a store room, a pantry and a home theatre. Overall a luxury townhouse in the heart of the city with uber luxury interiors for a high net-worth family.
