This project involved the renovation of a three-bedroom property in Belgravia, London.  Mokka Design were involved in the interior design and interior architecture of the project. The focus of the project was the study, kitchen, living and dining areas.

The design brief entailed the complete renovation of the property in order to make it appealing to future investors. The aim was to design luxurious yet functional living spaces, accommodating the everyday needs of the end user. Each living space is characterised by a language of clean lines that is evident in the furniture and joinery design.

The crittall doors and pivoting louvres offer privacy whilst the contemporary wooden staircase acts as the central feature of the property. In the living room, the bespoke tv unit offers valuable storage space. An opening from the living room leads to the separate study area with the bespoke shelving unit.

In the basement, the task was to create a functional kitchen and a comfortable dining area. A marble island unit together with a bespoke wine cellar creates a high-end, functional everyday space. The kitchen finishes together with the wooden panelling, the marble floor and the bronze details create a warm and sophisticated scheme.

Mokka Design’s favourite aspect of the project is the openness of the living environment that at the same time allows for privacy and the division of spaces through pivoting screens and glass steel doors. Another key aspect is the lighting design and more specifically the staircase up lights that create shafts of light, enhancing the vertical elements of the architecturally designed project.

The finishes used throughout the property unite the spaces creating a homogenic design. Clean, geometrical lines are evident in the furniture and joinery units in all of the entrance and living areas.
