Located on a historic ski run at the top of Snowmass Village, this 482 sq. meter home provides unparalleled mountain contemporary living. The Guggenhill Residence is a sophisticated and inviting contemporary home surrounded by National Forest and the Snowmass Ski Area.

This one of a kind property has 5 bedrooms plus an office with 5 full bathrooms and two half bathrooms. The master suite and office are located on the entry level, along with the great room that includes the kitchen, dining, and living areas. This level is flooded with natural light thanks to floor to ceiling glass, and extensive clerestory windows all around the space. With oversized pocket doors disappearing to maximizing the views, the sunsets from the master soak tub over the private master deck is a sight to behold. In the great room, minimal profile, all aluminium NanaWalls, along with a double-sided fireplace, and wood ceilings/soffits, blur the lines between indoor and outdoor spaces, opening the interior to the great room deck.

The sculpted open tread stairs take you down to the lower level walkout which includes a generous family and game room with a bar that flows into the ski room and then beyond to extensive exterior patios. The remainder of the bedrooms as well as a dedicated bunk room are located on this level, and there is a large flex area gym/ yoga studio. In the theme of embracing the outdoors, this level opens up to nearly 2000sf of on grade patio, a good portion of which is snow-melted, by the use of sliders and an additional Nanawall. As the home is mere inches from the top of the historic Guggenhill ski run, there is a ski locker integrated into the patio, just outside the ski room and directly accessible to the slopes. This entire lower level is wonderfully landscaped, and includes an in-ground spa, linear fire-pit, and landscape steps down to the yard area.

In this area of steeply sloping building sites, the most coveted homes are those which can obtain the “single level living” feel. That is defined as a home where the entrance, great room, kitchen, living & dining, master suite, and garage/ mudroom are all on the same level, while additional living and sleeping areas can occupy other floors. This home is the epitome of single level living, combining majestic views with ski-in / ski-out convenience. Working within the steep topography of the site, the Guggenhill Residence was designed respectfully to its surroundings, simple and unassuming from the front facade, with living spaces that terrace down the hillside and embrace the panoramic views.
