Project name: Private House- Tomlinson Heights

Location: Singapore

Date completed: December 2017

Interior designer: JPA Design

Architect: architects 61

Developer: Hotel properties

Construction company: Anj Builders.

The project represents a super luxury condominium next to Orchard belt. It consists of 2500sqft, 3-bedroom unit with the private lift lobby – JPA Design were responsible for creating the Client’s new living and dining spaces, private study and bedroom design.  This included full styling. The afore-mentioned company worked closely with Lasvit lighting to integrate the lighting element throughout the living and dining spaces, and it is a feature the Clients love!

JPA design also spent a lot of time with the Chinese artist commissioned to provide the hand painted screen behind the sofa – this was created from Dragonpace and really adds a beautiful backdrop to the room.

It is somewhat of a perfectionist(!). The Lead designer for this Project, Shiyi Sun, is methodical and highly detailed in his design and intent.  All drawings were meticulously detailed which eliminated any margin of error from the Contractors side.  The Tomlinson Heights building showcases modern architecture – one feature of the building facade is the vertical bronze aluminum detailing, which we brought into the interiors, and can be seen in the contemporary wall paneling, as well as painstakingly detailed in each shelf of the study. It is a subtle integration but is perfectly in sync with the façade. The hand painted screen behind the sofa features a contemporary representation of the Chinese Pine Tree. For the Chinese owners, this represents strength, longevity, and virtue.  Combined with the glass ‘leaves’ of the customized Lasvit chandelier, which runs thru the living and dining spaces, it almost appears like the tree is blossoming through the space. It is always a fabulous feeling for someone to acknowledge your work in the field of Hospitality, but to have private residential clients come to you and say “I want you to create my home with THAT style, THAT feeling – I want to see it, live it, every single day” – that’s a far more personal achievement.  And this project was a joy to create, and the Client is delighted with the finished result!
