Project Name: Maison de Renouveau

Location: Hangzhou, China

Date Completed: October 2019

The decorative paintings in this project have a unique style, drawing on the still-life paintings of Mr. Chang Yu, a contemporary painter. Chang Yu was one of the first Chinese painters to gain prominence in Europe, and studied art together with Xu Beihong, Lin Fengmian and other masters in Paris. Like the soft Oriental temperament of Hangzhou, the art combines the Oriental charm with the western brushwork. This concept was incorporated into the brief for the interior design of this property.

The project is located in the Huanglong part of the Xihu district, Hangzhou, adjacent to the West Lake scenic area and Xixi wetland national park. There is a correlation between the inherited long history of the area and the new prosperous era of modern times. The mix of old and new, eastern and western cultures provide a design collision, the project is representative of many different aspects of culture and times. Harmony World Consultant The design team used this as an inspiration to capture traditional and modern features and revive eastern aesthetics.

The elegant grey and warm white colour scheme interweaves throughout the master bedroom and the main living areas, the balance of art that assimilates perfectly with the space creates a luxurious atmosphere. The designers absorb the essence of western art from an independent perspective and carry the blood of Chinese culture, like Hangzhou, a city where classical and modern themes are integrated.

Harmony World Consultant & Design instils an emotional experience into the space, through the art display, the combination of textures, the interiors aim to restore the spiritual level of modern people.
