Project Name: Vallejo Street

Date Completed: 2019

Interior Designer: Alison Pickart

Situated in a traditional Co-Op style building, this apartment maintains the iconic period elements of high ceilings and detailed molding seen in “old” San Francisco buildings — while opening up the floor plan to add light and give it a younger, fresher feeling.

The floorplan of the whole project removed the threshold and created a beautiful, cohesive space. The media room uses the lack of natural light to its advantage, creating a cozy atmosphere.  St. Laurent, on navy metallic silk by DeGournay, covers the walls, giving the room a luxe, warm feeling.  Custom Holland & Sherry embroidered pillows sit atop a custom sectional couch with peacock blue silk mohair by Corragio textiles.  A banana silk Moroccan rug and pink lavender ice resin Scala luxury side tables add pops of color to the space.

Particulary in the media room, Alison Pickart and her team really took advantage of the lack of natural light in the space. This really helped them create a cozy evironment for their client.

Overall, this penthouse was designed for entertaining. While opening the floor plan guests are still able to feel connected to those who may be in the nearby living or dining room.
