Project Name: Wales

Location: Wales

Date Completed: 2019

Set within the Welsh countryside, this grand contemporary house required a kitchen to complement the client’s style and architectural features of the property. The clients wanted to remove some internal walls and turn three rooms into one large kitchen/dining/living space to create a bright open plan living space internally with internal windows that looked onto the indoor pool area but also to maximise on the views that looked out over the Welsh countryside.

The clients entertain a lot so required a bar area incorporating into the design along with an eating area for everyday dining/breakfasting and partying, with feature lighting brought into the design. To incorporate the above ArtHouse Creative Interiors designed a long island unit which incorporated the seating area to one end for dining, a Bora induction hob with down draft extraction to free up the ceiling for feature lighting, a trough for a herb garden was incorporated into the worktop which turns into a champagne trough when they entertain, and a feature bar area fitted between the informal lounge area and formal dining area.  ArtHouse Creative Interiors also designed a double larder unit for them to incorporate their smaller kitchen appliances, so they were easily accessed for everyday use, but also out of sight.

The designers enjoyed working on this luxurious project as this design epitomises the timelessly elegant BeauxArts concept that SieMatic offers with segmented design elements that harmonises with the choice of materials and finishes. To work on such a grand contemporary project with clients who had a fine eye for detail was inspiring for the designers. For ArtHouse Creative Interiors it was key to design this open plan living space to not only harmonise with the rest of the house but to be sympathetic to the architecture as well as making sure they benefited from the beautiful.
