Orme square is a marvellous end of terraced house, the house is facing the north-west corner of Hyde Park, overlooking Kensington Gardens. Brompton Cross Construction carried out a full refurbishment and decoration of this notable 5 story house complete with a basement and lift.

The client has requested a new specific design requirement to be applied for each floor; Ground floor has been designed to be specially for guests including a wide Entrance, expansive living room, big dining room and a small one-bedroom flat with a separate entrance. First floor and second floor was designed for his and her master bedrooms, and third floor was a complete separate wing for their daughter including a small bar area, living room and master bedroom with en-suite. The basement was designed specifically as a service floor including a commercial kitchen and maids’ rooms. The client has requested a contemporary with hint of classic style. We have selected a complete turn-key package for furniture including many bespoke items.

The high ceiling was one of the favourite aspects for this project, especially as we do not have too many houses with high ceilings in London. Also, In terms of the lighting, one of the challenging aspects for this project was using some of the existing real gold precious chandeliers and old art works into the design which meant a lot for the client.

The design team have selected various luxurious materials that complement each other throughout the property, and also the carefully picked out colour scheme that brings everything together in harmony.

With a hint of the classic elements we have added to our design including the wall panels, high skirtings, convents along with the touches of brass found in the sockets, switches and floor inlays truly make the overall outcome look very rich and sophisticated which really worked well with the overall environment, surroundings and the exterior of the property.

Specialist marble floor medallions were hand installed into the entrance and hallways.
