The Arches dining chair is designed in the likeness of the architectural scale, suggesting the complexity of utopian cities, organised by the principles of symmetry and ideal forms. The surprising profile shows details that seem to be drawn from large architectural structures.  

The raised backrest stands out from the remaining set that only crosses in a single point, whereas a folded brass bar arises as a support element that prevents the contact of the arches with the floor. With a strong architectural narrative, Arches is handcrafted by a team of artisans that gathers exquisite joinery, upholstery and metal work. The sculptural chair catches the eye by its unique design. 

The creative process was focused on absorbing notoriously architectural elements, transforming Arches into an exclusive design piece with a strong image and symbolism.  Since its launch, the Arches dining chair has won over design lovers for its elegance, comfort and symbolism, quickly becoming a best seller in the collections designed by Joana Santos Barbosa.  
 
Arches is handcrafted in the north of Portugal by a team of Portuguese artisans that gathers exquisite joinery, upholstery and metal work. The choice of noble materials such as brass and ancient wood techniques is present in all details produced with care and skills.
