The Atlantic kitchen table is a brand-new table from Tom Faulkner. There is a strong and distinctive motif (as in all of Tom’s work) described in the beautiful shape of the legs.

Tom was originally inspired by the work of Jean Prouvé for the shape of the legs and in the utilitarian choice of materials. “I particularly wanted to make something for the contemporary kitchen,” says Tom “Something contemporary, and easy going – and I wanted it to be modest and straightforward, so I kept it very simple, and chose to use a laminate/veneer for the top, and this particular laminate has very special properties – apart from being beautiful to the touch, it is also anti fingerprint, and anti-scratch. Perfect for all the family. And the available colours are amazing!”

Tom Faulkner’s favourite aspect of the table is the shape of the legs – it’s completely original, as well as being a very friendly and pleasing to look at. The design works so well as the top is an innovative material with the surface made of paper combined with acrylic resins – it has a wonderful matt sheen, with a beautiful “soft touch” finish. The walnut lipping completes the table – making it a super-smart addition to any kitchen or dining room.

The Atlantic Dining Table fits well into its wider environment as it uses materials that are all long lasting and sustainable. Throughout the design and manufacture of the table specialist artisan skills were used including precise metal fabrication skills combined with woodworking / veneering.
