For Anna Maria Interiors this project was the ultimate challenge of starting from scratch. The brief was to design and manage the build of private clients’ 15,000 ft dream home in the heart of Chigwell, Essex. This project involved overseeing all aspects, including architectural design details, spatial planning tailoring the floor plans to meet specific requirements including moving windows/doors, even down to personal styling of each room. Integrating smart-home technology throughout and considering preferences for bedding, colour palette and sourcing products to display personal interests.

Anna Maria Interiors aimed to provide the family with a lifetime of happiness within their dream home concisely integrating all aspects of luxury within their home through a timeless interior. These elements were personal to each family member, they were involved in much of the sourcing and approval process by testing and viewing samples and options along the way.

The interior design process covered the following areas: a super basement with a home cinema, private bar/ entertainment room, a gym, sauna and steam room, spa pool, changing room, ten bathrooms, nine bedrooms with personal dressing room areas, a prayer room, two kitchens, a laundry room, a formal reception, a formal dining area, a casual dining, a lounge area, a family room, a drawing room, home office, cloak room, lift, car-lift to a private garage, a spiral stairwell and three terraces. The interior design for each room was individual and have been brought together with style and uniformity of details.

A key aspect of this project for Anna Maria Interiors was the level of detail involved in the process creating bespoke pieces throughout. For example, sourcing and hand picking (ethically sourced) butterflies imported to Belgium to frame to tie in perfectly with Bedroom interior design finishes. The designers also travelled to hand pick the stone blocks and slabs in person to be used throughout the project, it was particularly satisfying for the designers to see all the hard work come together in the final interior.

We are products of the direct environments in which we surround ourselves most. The space has been optimized creating bespoke solutions and designs, involving an exquisite level of personal hand-picked and widely sourced materials. This process integrates the vital key details which make the project truly unique and personal, focusing on design and functionality in every space; each aspect is considered to fit in which each client’s individual lifestyle.
