Sitting high on the 55th floor, Amanda Evans Interiors’ Vancouver House project has sweeping views of the entire Lower Mainland. Its interiors are highly considered, with the designers tailoring the home to their clients whilst keeping it in context with the location.

Whilst the classic design and brightness of the apartment suit all tastes and styles, it needed to be customised to the clients. This is their home away from home, where they like to host many events for their friends, and so the space needed to fulfil the client’s desire to have a luxurious yet comfortable space to entertain in. In doing so, Amanda Evans Interiors extended the kitchen to include a custom-designed wet bar along with other cosmetic renovation elements such as custom millwork throughout.

The designers set out to create a space that was both functional but also aesthetically beautiful while not distracting from the incredible views of the North Shore mountains, the cityscape, and the Pacific Ocean. The kitchen and living area were reconfigured to create an open space and unobstructed views of the city, and the ceiling was dropped two inches across the majority of the home to install LED fixtures that would properly highlight the design.

Most of the furniture was custom designed with Once A Tree Furniture to suit the clients’ chic taste and penchant for entertaining, perfectly tying the space to its owners and location and elevating it to a bespoke, high-end level. The commissioned paintings by artists Pamela Masik, Bobbie Burgers, and Kristen Giorgi helped influence the design colour scheme in the main living area; rich blues, soft gold, cream, taupe and dark mocha are used throughout the great room. The area rug in the living room, and the art in the dining room, living room, and principal bedroom was all custom designed and commissioned for the space.
