Extreme Design has successfully completed an exquisite kitchen project as part of an extensive renovation and extension of a countryside property. Although the house was built within the last two decades, it features Georgian architectural elements, which Extreme Design meticulously incorporated into the furniture to complement the home’s historical aesthetic.

The clients wanted the kitchen to celebrate the property’s magnificent countryside views and architectural features, rather than becoming the main statement within the room. To achieve this, Extreme Design focused on creating a harmonious, symmetrical layout that allows the beauty of the surroundings and the structure itself to shine.

Symmetry played a crucial role in the design. Extreme Design carefully aligned all key backdrops on a centerline, ensuring a balanced and cohesive look. The cabinetry was crafted to be subtle and not overly busy, using a clever selection of materials to provide detail without overwhelming the space. The main feature wall, housing the ovens and range cooker, blends seamlessly into the room while maintaining importance through its symmetrical design.

The kitchen was designed with family living and entertaining in mind. The space is highly functional for everyday life and can cater to large family gatherings. The cooking area was designated its own zone, along with a specific drinks area, to maintain a calm and clean environment. The large U-shaped island serves as an ideal cooking space for the clients, who love to cook, and provides a central gathering spot for family and friends to enjoy the views.

A designated drinks and coffee station, located away from the main cooking area, creates another zone for socialising. This setup, positioned near the dining room, is perfect for various forms of entertaining, from casual family gatherings to formal dinner parties.

Extreme Design’s thoughtful approach to blending modern functionality with traditional aesthetics has resulted in a kitchen that is both elegant and practical. This project stands as a testament to their ability to create beautiful, family-friendly spaces that honour the architectural heritage of the home.
