In the heart of Groningen city, DUIN INTERIOR has skillfully orchestrated an enchanting interior, creating an immersive and embracing environment. Designer Miquel van Duin employed a natural color palette infused with bronze tones, incorporated striking bespoke furniture, and executed a high level of detail, all while respecting the rich historical context of the 1900s building.

The entrance area, marked by two large pivot doors with smoked glass, unveils the focal point of this inviting residence—the custom-designed kitchen. Miquel van Duin conceived a generous natural stone island, positioned as a striking centerpiece within the space. The meticulously restored historical ceiling, aglow with illumination, further enriches the delightful ambiance. A spacious cabinet wall, equipped with modern conveniences, accentuates the room’s height. The adjacent bar area, seamlessly connected to the dining room on the garden side, provides a stylish space for socializing.

On the street side, Miquel delineated a luxuriously furnished living area. A steel frame, echoing the design in the dining room, marks the entrance, with the juxtaposition of black steel against the sandy color palette creating a captivating contrast.

The staircase in the entrance area leads to the basement, unveiling three guest rooms and the clients’ private domain. In the bedroom, Miquel positioned a freestanding bath at the foot of the bed and adorned the wall above with a television. Behind this wall lies the creative gem of the home—the bathroom. In the center, a glass-enclosed shower designed by the top-tier designer gains beauty from ceiling LED lighting. Surrounding the shower, custom wardrobe cabinets and a lavish vanity complete this dream space, embodying design perfection that stands the test of time.
