Interieur London has successfully delivered a sophisticated turnkey design for a prestigious family home situated on the penthouse level at 9 Millbank, featuring a Grade 2 listed facade. Responding to the international client’s vision, the project encompassed the creation of a spacious master suite and dressing room, three children’s bedrooms with ensuites, a study, and expansive open-plan areas including a kitchen, dining, formal living, and family lounge.

With a carte blanche on design aesthetics, the sole style directive was to infuse an elegant London ambiance throughout the apartment. The challenge lay in the building’s origin, originally designed for commercial use in the 1930s, presenting a simple white box lacking original design features. Interieur London navigated this by deploying creative design solutions, drawing inspiration from the glamour of the 1930s while imbuing a contemporary twist.

The design unfolds with the main living areas strategically positioned along the building’s front, offering panoramic views of the Thames and creating a bright and elegant gallery space. A bespoke glass chandelier spans the entire length, serving as a unifying element. Each area is distinctly defined through an ombre effect, harmonizing with the colors of its surroundings. In the Formal Living area, a new marble fireplace and timber-framed glass doors enhance the space, allowing light into the central corridor.

The Study showcases a seductive design with glossy dark veneer finishes, textured leather inlays, and back-illuminated onyx on the joinery. The brilliance of Interieur London’s design lies in its ability to seamlessly weave together diverse spaces, each inspired by classic British design themes. The result is a collection of distinct, finely crafted spaces that collectively form an elegant and alluring London home.
