In a recent project, Lori Carroll was tasked with transforming a kitchen into a high-end haven of style and practicality. The central point of inspiration emerged from a striking slab of Cielo quartzite. With a keen eye for balance and detail, Lori orchestrated an ensemble of complementary finishes and clean-lined forms, turning nature’s artistry into the kitchen’s defining feature. This exceptional piece served as both countertop and backsplash, its leathered finish anchoring the room and instigating visual intrigue.

Walnut cabinetry, equipped with discreet integrated pulls, was chosen for both function and simplicity. An unexpected twist in the form of a custom metal hood cover added a distinctive accent to the minimalist design. Lori’s attention to detail extended to the integration of appliances, seamlessly woven into the cabinetry by the skilled hands of a millwork fabricator. The meticulous book-matched installation of calcatta quartzite flooring ensured the continuity of the veining, underscoring the commitment to excellence.
