Blueberry Jones Design drew inspiration from a fusion of Palm Springs chic, young family comfort, and Hill Country influences for this project. The residence encompasses two bedrooms, two and a half bathrooms, and an attached guest house. Throughout the home, sleek concrete floors provide a versatile backdrop for its modern maximalist design ethos.

Embracing the vibrancy of Palm Springs aesthetics, the design direction prioritized maximalism, unapologetically incorporating bold colors and patterns while ensuring comfort and practicality for everyday family life. The main living area, comprising the living room, dining room, and kitchen, was conceived to evoke a relaxed lounge ambiance without compromising on functionality for familial activities.

The choice of concrete flooring and abundant use of glass fosters a seamless indoor-outdoor transition, accentuated by transom windows in the living room and a thoughtfully placed oversized custom sectional and vintage chairs. Walnut panels infuse warmth and a cozy lounge atmosphere, contributing to the cohesive design language.

A unified aesthetic is achieved throughout the living spaces with consistent floor lamps offering ambient lighting. The kitchen seamlessly integrates with the outdoor environment through large unadorned windows, showcasing the scenic Hill Country landscape. Walnut wood accents on cabinetry offset the bold dark stone elements, while brass touches add elegance.

Continuing the lounge-inspired ambiance, traditional dining chairs replace a conventional sofa, fostering an inviting atmosphere. The architectural design prioritized indoor-outdoor connectivity, evidenced by expansive windows and sliding doors, facilitating effortless entertaining and framing the natural surroundings as living art.
