Kimberly Parker Design undertook the creation of a bespoke residence nestled in a mountainous backdrop, seamlessly melding the ambiance of a Scottish Castle with contemporary mountain living. The residence stands as a testament to meticulous craftsmanship, featuring bespoke elements such as a floating wood self-supporting staircase and hand-soldered stained glass windows. Reflecting the client’s Scottish heritage, the design incorporates oversized timbers, newel posts, wood paneling, and crown details reminiscent of Romanesque castles.

A defining feature of the property is its expansive turret, housing a cozy den with a circular fireplace and a library enveloped by curved cabinetry. Custom leather sofas, meticulously tailored to fit the unique contours of the space, adorn the interior. The kitchen exudes luxury with Amazonite countertops, complementing stained glass windows crafted by renowned artists from Holman Studios.

The primary suite epitomizes elegance with a custom bed adorned with velvet and nailhead trim, alongside extra-deep nightstands designed for accessibility. The residence offers three full suites, two bedrooms with a shared bath, and a bunk room for grandchildren. The lower level is dedicated to entertainment, featuring a billiard room, kitchenette, bar, theater room, and sports court.

Situated in an exclusive mountain community, the property offers panoramic views of the valley while maintaining an air of seclusion amidst oak trees. The Scottish Castle project spanned over 2.5 years, requiring meticulous attention from a team of artisans and frequent coordination between Kimberly Parker Design and the superintendent. The result is a stunningly detailed home that embodies the client’s vision, reflecting their unique style and preferences.
