Hungerford Interior Design transformed a Vancouver home into a vibrant, personalised space that reflects the homeowner’s passions and lifestyle. The renovation encompassed a full redesign of the main, upper, and basement floors, prioritising both functionality and style.

Key features include custom storage solutions such as a pantry off the kitchen, a library wall for the homeowner and her son’s extensive book collection, and a tailored walk-in closet. Inspired by the client’s love for modern design, bold colors, and artisanal pieces, the interiors blend formal and casual spaces, showcasing unique furniture and thoughtful details that honor her passion for art, music, and Japanese culture.

Specialised rooms such as the Music Room, with dark moody walls, and the Rec Room, personalised for the son, add unique character to the home. The designer balanced each space, from the serene, monochromatic primary bedroom to the colour-filled Great Room, ensuring every room connects seamlessly while honouring the client’s passions. The living room offers a quiet, refined palette, while custom furnishings, including sculptural modern pieces and bespoke rugs, reflect the designer’s focus on scale and purpose.

The kitchen, with its midnight blue millwork and custom metal hood, stands as a testament to the homeowner’s love for artisanal craftsmanship, reflecting her connection to Japanese arts. Overall, the designer transformed a well-lit house into a vibrant, artistic home filled with warmth and creativity.
