Julie Rootes Interiors spearheaded a transformative renovation for a pair of recent empty nesters, reimagining their longtime residence to reflect a new chapter in life. Originally conceived as a kitchen remodel, the project soon expanded into a comprehensive redesign of the entire home, with an emphasis on natural materials, improved functionality, and a layout tailored to the clients’ lifestyle and their home’s lush garden setting.

The design concept was deeply influenced by the property’s surrounding natural beauty, with an intentional focus on creating a seamless flow between the interior and exterior spaces. Julie Rootes Interiors prioritized elements that would enhance this connection, introducing custom features such as reclaimed wood flooring and doors, bespoke cabinetry, and hand-applied plaster walls. Particular attention was given to unique details in the kitchen and bathrooms, ensuring that each space reflected both comfort and sophistication.

Throughout the home, the design team curated a balance of refined elegance and casual livability. Natural textures, a light and airy color palette, and thoughtful spatial planning contributed to a serene and welcoming atmosphere. The interiors now reflect a harmonious integration with the outdoors, allowing the garden views and natural light to become integral components of the living experience.

The result is a personalized, timeless home that supports the clients’ evolving lifestyle. Julie Rootes Interiors successfully delivered a space that is not only aesthetically elevated but also deeply functional—celebrating the next phase of life with grace and style.
