This residence, designed by Anu Kewalram Interiors, is a masterful transformation of an old apartment into a sophisticated modern home that seamlessly blends historical charm with contemporary elegance. The client’s brief called for a design that married modern, classic, and historical styles, with a strong focus on functionality, vibrant colour, and timeless sophistication.

Anu Kewalram Interiors responded with a carefully curated interior that balances clean, contemporary lines with period architectural features, vintage accents, and a neutral backdrop. Bold colours were introduced through art, textiles, and decorative accessories, allowing the space to feel lively yet serene. Ample storage was incorporated throughout, along with a cleverly integrated extra bed.

A standout feature is the master bedroom, where comfort meets glamour. A striking wallpaper mural, bespoke reflective surfaces, and custom-designed glass wardrobes elevate the space, while thoughtful furniture selections enhance both form and function. The adjoining en-suite bathroom, with arched glass doors and extensive marble, adds to the luxurious atmosphere.

Located on the 32nd floor, the apartment boasts panoramic views of the Marina Waterfront, The Palm, and city skyline. The interior’s use of blue tones and curated artwork reflects these surroundings, creating a seamless visual connection between indoors and out.

Artisan collaborations were key, with two local artists commissioned to create original pieces and the design team producing bespoke high-resolution art prints. Each artwork was meticulously framed by a local framer under Anu’s direction.
