Elicyon has completed a sophisticated pied à terre within the Chelsea Barracks development, delivering a design that balances bold expression with refined functionality. Conceived for an American couple seeking to downsize without compromising on character, the project reflects Elicyon’s ability to merge playful detailing with intelligent spatial planning for modern city living.

Elicyon approached the apartment with a focus on maximising usability while maintaining a sense of openness and elegance. A key aspect of the brief was the integration of highly bespoke storage solutions to accommodate extensive wardrobes and personal collections. These interventions were carefully embedded within the architecture, ensuring that practicality enhanced rather than disrupted the overall design.

Throughout the interior, Elicyon introduced a layered palette of colour, texture and pattern, creating visual richness without overwhelming the space. Sculptural furniture pieces, including curved seating and organically shaped tables, sit comfortably within the clean architectural framework, establishing a dynamic yet cohesive environment. This interplay between form and structure allows the apartment to feel both expressive and composed.

Particular attention was given to the bedroom, where Elicyon elevated traditional joinery through bold finishes and refined detailing. Wardrobes are treated as design features in their own right, combining craftsmanship with a sense of warmth and individuality. This approach demonstrates how functional elements can be reimagined as integral parts of the interior narrative.

Flexibility is central to the scheme, with spaces designed to adapt between everyday living and intimate entertaining. Elicyon ensured that furniture and layout could evolve with the clients’ needs while maintaining a consistent aesthetic.

By responding sensitively to the architectural language of Chelsea Barracks, Elicyon has created a home that feels both connected to its surroundings and distinctly personal, offering a calm yet characterful retreat in the heart of the city.
