Gallo Terra has completed the design and craftsmanship of a refined kitchen within a magnificent Knutsford mansion, delivering a space that combines timeless character with contemporary sophistication. As part of a wider project, Gallo Terra also designed the bathrooms and bespoke cabinetry throughout the home, creating a cohesive interior vision defined by exceptional craftsmanship, natural materials and understated luxury.

At the heart of the kitchen, a substantial island establishes a natural gathering point while anchoring the overall layout. Gallo Terra combined rich dark oak with painted cabinetry to create warmth and visual depth, balancing traditional influences with a fresh, enduring aesthetic. Solid and glazed cabinetry adds further texture and interest, while robust natural stone work surfaces provide both practicality and lasting character for everyday living.

A striking statement cooker hood serves as the focal point of the room, complemented by beautifully crafted arched Crittall style doors that lead into the pantry and utility spaces. These elegant architectural features reinforce the kitchen’s distinctive identity while maintaining a seamless relationship with the wider home.

Throughout the project, Gallo Terra carefully balanced bold design features with timeless detailing. Traditional proportions respect the character of the historic property, while the considered mix of materials ensures the kitchen feels equally at home alongside the mansion’s more contemporary architectural elements. The result is a space with a strong sense of presence that never overwhelms its surroundings.

Delivering this level of quality demanded specialist craftsmanship at every stage. Bespoke cabinetry and intricate joinery were paired with expertly fabricated natural stone surfaces, while the statement metalwork required for both the cooker hood and the Crittall style doors was carefully designed and installed to integrate flawlessly within the overall scheme.
