BNC Technology approached this project as a seamless journey between a foyer lounge and a home cinema, creating two interconnected spaces that balance luxury, comfort and functionality. The design centres on the contrast between light and dark tones, inspired by the idea of yin and yang. The foyer introduces lighter surfaces with a rough stone finish extending across the floors, walls and ceilings, creating a striking and textured arrival experience. In contrast, the cinema embraces darker tones, softer flooring, upholstered walls and polished stone surfaces to establish a more intimate and immersive atmosphere.

The concept also draws on the emotional memory of classic cinemas, where rich red draped curtains defined the experience. To reinterpret this idea, BNC Technology selected an Italian red marble stone featuring linear detailing across its surface, echoing the folds and movement of theatrical curtains. Brushed brass detailing was incorporated throughout both spaces, adding warmth and continuity across the scheme.

A key strength of the project lies in the intelligent and highly considered use of materials across every surface, ensuring a cohesive and resolved interior. Functionality was equally important, with the foyer lounge and dedicated serving station designed to enhance the cinema experience by offering a comfortable transition space for refreshments and relaxation.

The execution required collaboration with a range of specialists, including stone experts, artists, shopfitters and metal specialists, all contributing to the bespoke finishes, custom built-ins, fluted wooden panels and brass installations throughout the project.
