At Silo Ridge Field Club, Shelley Cekirge Interiors transformed a newly constructed house into an elegant, elevated and colourful home for a young, vibrant family. The clients wanted a sophisticated yet inviting environment where every room had its own character while contributing to a seamless overall aesthetic. White walls were ruled out in favour of rich colour, texture and individuality.

The project benefited from a long-standing relationship between the studio and the clients, having previously collaborated on two homes together. This established trust and clear communication, allowing creativity to flourish throughout the process. The clients were not interested in following the prevailing aesthetic within the exclusive Silo Ridge development. Instead, they wanted a home that felt fresh, youthful and personal, equally suited to casual family dinners and lavish entertaining.

Shelley Cekirge Interiors approached the design through the lens of architecture, functionality and the clients’ lifestyle. The expansive open-plan living and kitchen area, with its high peaked ceiling, provided the ideal setting for bold colour without overwhelming the space. Hand-painted Venetian plaster walls brought the surrounding landscape indoors, while durable fabrics and leathers ensured the home remained practical for active family life.

The dramatic mountain, lake and valley views became an integral part of the design. Oversized windows framed the scenery, while natural materials were layered through wallpapers, fabrics, carpets and lighting. Greens and blues inspired by the landscape flowed through the living room, family room and kitchen, creating a seamless connection between the interiors and the extraordinary setting beyond.
