A contemporary family home that tells a story of subtle luxury and timeless elegance. Moda Interiors clients wanted a family home that would feel personal, warm and inviting and one that would grow with their family. Generous living spaces, a designated home office and study spaces in the bedrooms were high on their list, a large functional kitchen, with plenty of drawer and cupboard space were also required, as well as the inclusion of a hidden scullery. Given the area having both new and old homes, the house needed to blend into the area without being obtrusive. Natural products including stone and timber were the main finishes which complement the high ceilings and natural light that filters throughout the home. Perth has a temperate climate, and this was also taken into consideration with the home seamlessly flowing from the inside through to the outside.

The back area of the home oozes volume with the high ceilings and high windows, ensuring maximum light filters into the home. This area also looks directly out to the garden, alfresco and pool areas, therefore maximising the living space.

The home’s exterior is quite understated and doesn’t give away too many secrets of what lies within. Entering through a large pivot door, a curved wall is to your left with a statement floating staircase just ahead. The combined living, dining and kitchen are surrounded by large windows generous high ceilings ensuring maximum light filters into these spaces. Whilst the rooms seamlessly flow together, the home feels personal and warm.

The outside of the home is beautifully understated and doesn’t give away too many secrets of what lies within. This home resides on a leafy street in a relatively old area and has a mixture of new and old homes – and with its beautifully landscaped gardens, the home complements the current street-scape and leafy ambiance of the surrounding area.
