Park City Utah Ski House by Ana Donohue Interiors was designed for a client who is as colourful as her interiors. She wanted a mountain ski house that was energetic and unique, something suitable for year round living.

Ana Donohues client had undertaken a widespread search throughout Massachussets and Utah to find a designer that “got her”. She wanted an interior design that allowed her love of unique materials, colours and furniture to cohabitate in one cohesive setting. Ana Donohue knew that this was possible, but she had to carefully curate the elements so they did not conflict each other, but instead served to coexist fluidly throughout the inside and outside of the house.

Ana was able to work with colour and materials like lacquer and iron, and pair them with rustic wood to create an unusual but truly effective hand shake of old and new, modern and rustic. An unusual combination that unsurpisingly her client absolutely adored.

The design of Park City Utah Ski House is against the grain of a traditional ski house interior. The colour and the use of unusual materials in an unusual combination served to be Ana Donohues favourite aspect of this project.

Indeed, this colourful and unique design works so well because it acts as a true reflection of the client. On top of this, the materials whilst bright and bold all have a weight to them and earthyness which allows them work well together within the setting.

The design, while bold and colourful, holds your attention but slowly unveils itself throughout the space in a nuanced way to connect to the exterior of the home.
