Project Name: The Dene

Location: United Kingdom

Date Completed: November 2018

Interior Designer: Designer Touches Ltd

Designer Touches Ltd were tasked with assisting their client in the full-scale renovation of The Dene, a visually stunning and expansive 5-bedroom property built in the late 1800’s. The client was keen to showcase many of the architectural features, whilst modernising the property throughout to create an elegant and unique family home. Original features have been lovingly restored throughout the property including the original fireplaces and beautiful sweeping staircases.

The project was implemented across several phases and included a set of stunning chandeliers, with the largest taking centre stage in the galleried landing. These chandeliers were specifically sourced for the client from a trade show in Paris.  The central table and console within the hallway from Mobil Fresno provide a central piece and impact upon entrance into the property.

Designer Touches gave each of the 5 bedrooms its own personality, from the relaxing suite for guests to enjoy, to a princess-inspired bedroom for the youngest member of the family. The designers are particularly proud of the bespoke joinery designed and fitted in the Master Dressing Room providing a luxurious and glamour space. This area features high black gloss cabinetry with polished chrome detailing, this detailing is what elevated the design into something special.

The area of the house that Designer Touches are most delighted with is the beautiful orangery with its bespoke fitted bar. The design was inspired by the high-end luxury hotel bars in central London. Curved sofas were included in the design to evoke a sense of inclusion and provides a sociable entertaining area. Within the design of the bar the designers used bespoke detailing to really elevate this as a central feature including exquisite mirror in lay and beautiful fabric panelling.

The design works so well because we have thought through every detail and designed this to meet their exact specifications.  The curved seating area was designed this way to allow for maximum amount of seating but also to provide a sociable space to entertain guests. Elegance and glamour have been injected in bucket loads in this design with beautiful mirrored inlays running centrally along the bar, surrounded by stunning faux leather upholstered panels.  The comfortable bar stools positioned around the TV provides an area the client can relax and watch football.  The backs of the barstools have a striking feature fabric with stud detailing.
