When Ryan Saghian Interiors were hired to remodel this client’s newly purchased Beverly Hills home, they requested his signature elegance, edginess, and flair. Ryan was determined to respect the 1920’s Spanish Colonial Revival architecture, whilst stripping the house to its bare bones and respecting the client’s wishes. Ryan Saghian Interiors has successfully incorporated a design scheme that is warm and earthy, yet embellished with luxurious elements, edginess, and allure.

The entrance foyer is striking, yet stays true to the Spanish style geometric tiles, reminiscent of Santa Barbara architectural elements. The living room continues the theme with an elegant, inviting curved sofas and a circular coffee table both by J Alexander along with a circular coffee table by the same name.

The fireplace, which was an original element of the house, was restored and adorned with Ryan Saghian’s bold and glamorous style – in the form of a stunning selenite crystal which complements the brass chandelier by Kelly Wearstler for Circa. The Spanish beam was also retained to keep the integrity of the architecture. The drapery is Custom Silk Dupioni.

For the dining room, it was important to consider the client’s lifestyle. The client’s have a large family and so glam entertaining spaces were vital. The furniture is warm toned and the centrepiece, with its natural greenery, grounds the space and adds to that earthy ambience. Hints of gold in the lighting, artwork and sideboard create an elegant edginess and bold discussion among all the pieces.

The kitchen is a showstopper, there is a perfect blend of earthiness and unexpected allure. The pendants are akin to pieces of jewellery and create glamour and liveliness. The quartzite countertops are monochromatic and envelop the kitchen, a soft arrangement to the cabinetry on which they sit. The armchairs are inspired by an iconic mid-century European design, minimalist with striking geometric form.

The Beverly Hills Residence required a balance between Old Hollywood opulence and a bold and eclectic Californian ease in true Ryan Saghian style.
