This beautiful property was in need of a change, the house on the creek was left abandoned, as the cosmetic choice of the previous owner made this house unappealing. The imagination of Mariapaola Miele led to a formulation of great ideas and with the client’s trust the design process began allowing a great transformation.

Located on a quiet cul-de-sac in one of Malibu’s most prestigious neighbourhoods, this property is famed & guard gated Serra Retreat near Malibu’s Pier. The pier is particularly famous for its epic surf, boutiques, restaurants & horse riding trails. This amazing property was in desperate need of a redesign to bring it up to the standard of the surrounding areas and houses. The green exterior walls, the poor basic interior decorations left this house on the market for a buyer with great vision. Working on this project was great for Mariapaola Miele, as the owner was looking to purify the architecture and create amazing spaces.

The design works so well due to the scheme planned out by Mariapaola and her attention to detail. From the custom cabinets to the textured wallpaper, the scheme comes together to make this home seamless and cohesive. There was a greater sense of space planning and experience in transforming the existing finishes to blend into one united design. For Mariapaola Miele, the key aspect of this project was creating an elegant home for the clients, one that would feel connected to the casual, earthy living you would expect in Malibu.
