With Modern Dance sitting on an acre of land, a novelty in Boca Raton, Laure Nell Interiors made the lush greenery the focal point. Wall to wall windows throughout the living space give the perfect backdrop to the succulent backyard. With the client being a former ballerina for the Soviet Ballet, Laure Nell Interiors designed the home to be an organic movement that carries grace and poise like its resident.

Favouring subtle textures, a muted colour palette with a mid-century aesthetic allows each unique art piece to shine through. Beyond the more recognisable Eames chair, Noguchi table and Ghost chairs, the home celebrates classic finds that withstand the test of time. A guest house was built alongside the pool, offering a more coastal aesthetic than that of the main home. With a bit more colour and pattern drawing attention, guests have the perfect space to unwind after a day in the Florida sun. Unique and personal art pieces have been showcased throughout the home, like the sculpture mused after the ballerina herself and the exotic zebra statue housed in the backyard.

To complete the indoor/outdoor living, Laure Nell Interiors brought the outdoor in with a living wall seen in the built in of the living room, which then became the focal point of the entire design. The neutral colour palette and subtle design allows for the eye to go directly to the outdoor living. With the ever changing trends and obsession with technology and social media, Modern Dance reminds all of us the importance of getting back into nature. It puts an emphasis on taking a break from the every day exhaustions and appreciate the beauty all around us.
