Project name: A Palm Jumeirah Frond

Location: Dubai, United Arab Emirates

Interior Designer: Nikki Bisiker Interior Design

When Nikki Bisiker Interior Design were given the task of creating A Palm Jumeirah Frond – a family home for a client who loves art, colour, and attention to detail – they were enthused by the opportunity to combine their furniture and interior design skills. The design had to work as a family space, and so Nikki Bisiker Interior Design crafted an elegantly informal expression; practical yet rich in design.

The newly constructed beachfront residence spans 14,500 square feet, and encompasses terraces, roof garden, infinity pool and exceptional indoor communal areas where the family can reside, all kept hidden by the grandeur of the main entranceway. The client had requested that Nikki Bisiker Interior Design allude to the Bali Four Seasons Hotel with the exterior, and this inspiration led to a tropical and verdant motif, elevated by the warm exterior lighting.

Nikki Bisiker Interior Design exuded chic opulence with the interiors, using a coalescence of luxurious textures and colours. These included polished veneers, natural stone, glasswork, and stunning lighting all creating a dramatic ambience and interest. Nikki Bisiker Interior Design took the fluctuating tastes of the family and used them to inspire each room, and they were able to blend personalities and colour to create formal and informal areas to suit the family’s requirements. Within the main family seating area though, inspiration was derived from the project’s surroundings. The design reflects the ocean position, with the colour palate focusing on cool turquoises, blues and grey. The sea and sky merge with the interior walls, and the pool and tropical foliage extends through to the inside.

Within the client’s brief, he had specified to Nikki Bisiker Interior Design for no plain or white wall, and to fill every corner. Though this gave Nikki Bisiker Interior Design creative freedom, this was accompanied by the challenge of satisfying the brief without creating a cluttered and heavy look. The success of this project stems from the artisan skills of the designers, who by making custom items for the home maintained that each angle would be a point of interest. Nikki Bisiker Interior Design has taken inspiration from the clients, the landscape, and the architecture itself, using high ceilings to showcase light and texture.
