Caz Myers Design were briefed to create a relaxed family home which was striking, great for entertaining and to incorporate a fun kid-friendly den and sleepover space for their two kids and their friends. The clients, a family of four, were leaving London and relocating to be closer to relatives in Berkshire. The property was a new build 15,000 square foot home featuring seven bedrooms and seven bathrooms, a luxury indoor pool, expansive home gym, beautiful home office and a host of living spaces including a stunning bespoke kitchen.

The clients asked the designers to include some unique design elements and create a wow factor with some break-out entertaining spaces, however they were keen for their home to feel relaxed for themselves as well as guests and most importantly remain practical and family-friendly. One of the key design features was to create rooms which looked out to the incredible countryside views and connect the internal to the external particularly from the large kitchen / diner / reception space. The clients were also extremely keen to incorporate dramatic art pieces and sculpture throughout their home.

When you walk into the house the dark green hallway envelops you immediately and when you move further into the hallway the position of the dining space gives unexpected wow factor. The use of this space enabled the designers to create a bespoke walk-in wine cellar as well as floor to ceiling expansive floating shelves. The dining space in this part of the house also means that guests can enjoy the striking bespoke stairwell which leads directly off the dining, hallway space.

Caz Myers Design were involved in every element and detail of the design process from the outset which involved the planning and design of the house with layouts and floorplans throughout, lighting design & sourcing, planning & design of all bespoke joinery, designing all the bathrooms and sourcing all tiles & sanitary ware, sourcing every piece of furniture & fabric right through to sourcing and styling every last detail and accessory. Caz Myers also oversaw the entire building process from start to finish and collaborated closely with the clients as well as a host of trades and suppliers along the way. The clients were absolutely thrilled with the end results, as were Caz Myers Design.
