This home sits in the bustling city of Dubai, owned by young professionals with active family lives. The villa includes a large double volume living room, bar area with a bespoke wine cellar, a formal dining room, two family living rooms, two family dining areas, a show kitchen, large working kitchen, office, Master ensuite comprising of lounge and his/hers walk-in wardrobes, 4 additional bedrooms all with ensuites and beautiful views, a cinema room, spa, gym, and a rooftop bar.

The brief was to create a unique and elegant interior with a contemporary monochromatic palette, enhanced by the interior architecture and finish selections. Although the palette was subdued, with the use of various finishes, textures, and lighting Studio MWM was able to achieve a warm and welcoming home that is perfect for entertaining and family living. By using rich materials, high-end detailing, custom-made joinery, custom furniture, and bold artworks, the design emanates luxury.

The impressive architectural entrance sets the tone of the villa, balancing drama and brightness with a bronze mirror, leather panelled walls extending up the ceiling, and an ombre glass chandelier dropped at the centre. The colour palette continues through the interior but is softened to create a balanced, serene mood. The entire interior, from layout to finishes, to furniture and accessories was personally selected or custom designed by MWM Studio.

The grand double volume entrance hall guides guests to a marble feature bench at the base of the staircase, sitting on a custom-made Italian silk rug. The triple volume staircase extends from the side of the circulation and is surrounded by combed marble cladding, a recessed marble handrail with integrated lighting and an inset mirror. Studio MWM emphasized the design of the main entertainment area, the formal living, by designing a double volume space surrounded by expansive glazing to extend and open the area, and a floor to ceiling seamless marble wall with integrated metal shelving and bioethanol fireplace. This space is inclusive of a unique bar area with a glass box wine cellar, where the integrated lighting and black metal frame makes a strong statement feature. The contrasted ‘cave-like’ dark home cinema showcases a curved ceiling and rich matte velvet sofas that create a truly comforting and relaxing atmosphere.

The exterior was designed to celebrate the summer and winter seasons that Dubai has to offer. The garden benefits from an outdoor infinity pool that has an integrated swim-up bar, and built-in seating area with open firepits. In addition to its functional character, the rooftop includes a spacious gym area, a spa and steam room created with luxurious and timeless materials, and an outdoor bar on the rooftop terrace overlooking the Emirates Hills Golf course and towards the Marina skyline.
