Littlemore Design Limited recently completed a residential project in the heart of Mayfair, London, showcasing a fresh and innovative approach to interior design that reflects the client’s rich heritage from Uganda, India, and London.

The three-bedroom apartment in Mayfair pays homage to the area’s historical significance and cultural diversity, combining elements of Art Deco architectural detail with a nod to Uganda’s vibrant heritage. The design narrative is a harmonious fusion of art, fashion, and bespoke craftsmanship, resulting in a space that exudes luxury and sophistication.

Upon entering the apartment, visitors are greeted by brass-framed glass doors that elegantly divide the kitchen area from the living and dining spaces, emphasizing form and aesthetics. Minimalist organic furniture is thoughtfully curated to resemble pieces of art, while the fluted Calacatta marble graces the organically shaped bar cabinet and seamlessly transitions to a modern fireplace, creating captivating focal points.

The carefully chosen colour palette, inspired by Uganda’s rich tones, adds a touch of vibrancy to the space. Ashen wood, featuring tiger-like stripe grain, adorns the bespoke bedroom joinery, complemented by custom-designed brass accents and tribal-inspired details, adding character and texture to the bedroom’s design.

One of the key aspects of the project is the integration of soft curves in joinery and interior architecture, cleverly contrasting the post-modern ’80s box-like architecture of the building. Taking innovation to the next level, Littlemore Design Limited employed solid marble carved into three-dimensional flutes, meticulously adorning the bar cabinet doors, which stands as a testament to the level of craftsmanship and attention to detail in the project.

The result is a space that not only pays homage to the building’s architectural legacy and Mayfair’s charm but also reflects the client’s diverse cultural heritage, creating a truly unique and unforgettable living environment. Littlemore Design Limited’s expertise in seamlessly blending different influences into a cohesive and elegant design is evident in every aspect of this stunning Mayfair apartment.
