Hampton House is a renovated, refurbished and extended home, that started life as a single storey 1930’s farm worker’s cottage. In the centre of the home, the little 1930’s home remains, however the size and scope of the home has been doubled and it sits today at 3,500 square feet. A home boasting 5 double bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.

The views from the house are far-reaching across the River Dee to Wales, and the elevated position of the home allows views from every window. It was this privileged location that encouraged the architects and designers to come up with the plan to include an extensive veranda to enable outdoor/ indoor living to be maximised.

The interior scheme reflects the home’s history; 1930’s style architraves and doors have been replicated from similar grander homes that have been neighbours to the original little house for decades. Windows and internal doors are sympathetic to the period of construction, whilst bathrooms and the kitchen are completed to the highest specification, featuring Italian and Spanish marble and quartz finishes, timber frames and ebony stained oak floors throughout.

Soft neutral tones of layered white, mixed metals, navy and pale blues combine throughout the home to bring a soft light and airy flow, that is classically inspired. Our favourite aspect other than the views, however, has to be the bespoke laundry room, complete with a laundry chute from the main bathroom, travelling directly to a concealed cupboard next to another 2 units housing an integrated washing machine and drier. Sturdy solid oak shelves sit above, with wicker baskets filled with clean washing: who said practically could not be aesthetically pleasing?

The rear garden includes a deck area, perfect for entertaining, and views across a paddock and woodlands.
