The Ikon skyscraper by Kronos Homes stands as a towering architectural landmark, reaching a height of 110 meters with 30 floors, and is a testament to an 80 million euros investment, representing a new gateway to the city of Valencia. This iconic structure, designed by Ricardo Bofill’s RBTA Architecture Workshop, perfectly embodies Kronos Homes’ philosophy. This philosophy revolves around creating buildings with a distinctive architectural design, maintaining high-quality standards, and prioritizing sustainability.

Initiated in 2019 in Valencia, the project naturally turned to Ricardo Bofill, an architectural luminary with deep connections to the city since the 80s. Bofill’s previous contributions to Valencia’s urbanism, particularly the development of sections X and XI of the Turia Garden, marked him as the ideal choice to create an icon for the city. Describing Ikon as his declaration of love for Valencia, Bofill has skillfully interpreted the cosmopolitan Mediterranean spirit, infusing it into the unique architecture that defines the 198 homes within.

To bring this vision to life, Kronos Homes collaborated with the local talent of the Valencian architecture studio Arqueha, working in tandem with Ricardo Bofill Taller de Arquitectura (RBTA) to infuse artistic sensibility into the building. 

Ikon offers an array of amenities, including an outdoor area with an infinity pool, gourmet club, children’s area, OX CLUB gym, fully furnished lobbies, concierge services, and extensive indoor bicycle parking. Partnering with Porcelanosa Grupo ensures top-notch interior coverings, while the facade comprises GRC skin and glass with metal carpentry from the prestigious brand Schuco. Illuminated aluminum slats, custom-designed by RBTA and manufactured by 380-750, Schindler elevators, and installations by leading brands like Panasonic and underfloor heating contribute to the building’s technological prowess.

Despite height and volume limitations, Ikon is configured to make its residents feel the prominence of Valencia’s light and the Mediterranean sky. Expansive windows open to the cityscape, and glass-railed terraces enhance luminosity and views, creating a harmonious blend of architectural brilliance and functionality. The meticulous craftsmanship and attention to detail make Ikon a distinctive and visionary contribution to the city of Valencia by Kronos Homes.
