DB INTERIOR STUDIO has masterfully transformed a timeless family home in the leafy suburb of Moor Park, Northwood. The comprehensive reconfiguration of this residence aimed to accommodate seven bedrooms along with multiple living, relaxation, and entertainment spaces, all while maintaining a cohesive, warm, and welcoming ambiance across its four floors. Entrusted with overseeing the entire project from inception to completion, DB INTERIOR STUDIO also managed the furnishing and styling processes.

Adhering to the client’s preference for a consistent color palette of warm tones and avoiding any grey hues to ensure the home never felt cold, DB INTERIOR STUDIO created a harmonious tonal feel throughout. This strategy fostered a sense of connectedness and expansiveness within the rooms and common areas. Repeated key details and patterns subtly contributed to a unified design language, enhancing the home’s cohesive intent.

Innovative solutions were employed to address specific challenges within the property. For instance, shorter ceiling heights were mitigated by installing flush panels and architraves on doors, creating the illusion of full-height doors. Fluted secret doors in the guest bedroom and playroom, located off the main lounge, ensured these spaces were both well-connected and functional, without compromising the aesthetic of the main TV feature wall. Additionally, Crittal screens and doors were incorporated into the basement design, allowing ample natural light to permeate the space.

These thoughtful considerations, among many others, enabled DB INTERIOR STUDIO to optimize the property’s natural elements while elevating the overall design, resulting in a beautifully cohesive and timeless family home.
