Leufroy has unveiled a stunning contemporary split-level apartment within a Grade II listed building in Kensington & Chelsea, demonstrating their expertise in merging modern living with historical charm. The transformation of the property in Philbeach Gardens involved reconfiguring and amalgamating five poorly arranged flats into three exquisite apartments. The showcased apartment spans the ground and lower ground floors, featuring a complete reconfiguration, a basement excavation, and the addition of a garden studio.

The split-level design maximises space and light, creating a sophisticated and functional living environment that blends seamlessly with the building’s traditional elegance. Leufroy’s thoughtful approach ensures that modern living standards are met while preserving the timeless charm of the heritage property.

Two rooms within this project particularly stand out: the living room and the bathroom. The living room design features a harmonious blend of modern and classic elements. Warm wood accents frame the built-in shelves and large windows, while the neutral colour palette creates a calming atmosphere. Comfortable seating surrounds a marble coffee table, and a stylish dining area is positioned at the rear of the room, making the space both inviting and elegant.

The minimalist bathroom design exudes a spa-like atmosphere, thanks to warm, golden lighting. An archway leads to the toilet area, separated from the rest of the room by a fluted glass partition to ensure privacy. Built-in shelves add both utility and style, while elegant marble-tiled flooring elevates the space.

Throughout the property, fluted panels with their elegant vertical grooves provide a unifying aesthetic that ties together different spaces. In the bathroom, the fluted surfaces add texture and sophistication, while in the kitchen, they enhance the cabinetry and island with a refined, tactile quality. In the living room, fluted detailing on furniture and walls introduces a sense of continuity and flow, making the entire home feel thoughtfully curated and seamlessly interconnected. This consistent design language not only elevates the visual appeal but also instills a calming, cohesive atmosphere.

Leufroy’s transformation of this property in Philbeach Gardens stands as a testament to their ability to blend contemporary design with historical elegance, creating a luxurious and harmonious living space.
